The Best Place’s To visit In The Beautiful Noosa Hinterland

The Noosa Hinterland is the area inland from Noosa. From Doonan to Eumundi, and north through the townships of Kin Kin, Pomona, Cooran and Cooroy. It is located 2 hours from Brisbane and it is best to have your own car to explore the area. There is many hiking trails and Beautiful country side drives.

Mt Tinberwah

Is located close o the coast about 20 minutes from the town of Noosa. It is a 265m volcanic Mount Tinbeerwah rises above the park, and offers 360 degree ocean and hinterland views. It is a 1km return trail up the view point and back. A fairly easy hike with incredible views.

Noosa Botanic Garden’s

The Noosa Botanic Gardens are a short drive from the hinterland town of Cooroy, on the shores of Lake Macdonald. There is a trail that takes you around the botanic gardens keep your eyes out for the blue arrows. The circuit is 1.5km and is an easy trail.

Mount Cooroora

Mount Cooroora is 439m in elevation. The trail to the top is 2.6km return. The first part of the track was is just a walking track with a few hills but relatively easy. As you progress through to the first lookout it starts to get a bit harder. You start to climb there are built in rope chains. Which are great to help you while you pull yourself up! The track is well maintained with stairs and chains to assist you. It is challenging but is well worth it, allow 2 hours to hike up and back down. The summit offer’s 360 degree views over the Sunshine Coast.

Kenilworth

Kenilworth is surrounded by farmland and beautiful countryside. Kenilworth bakery is renowned in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for its pies and donuts, which you can buy from side-by-side shops on Elizabeth Street. Also check out Kenilworth dairy which is around the corner from the bakery and well worth checking out.

Booloumba Fall’s

This waterfall is accessible by a 4WD track it is about 10km one way to the carpark. It is then a short 1.5km one way trail to the beautiful waterfall. There is 4 paid campgrounds along the creek and there also is other walking trails in the area. One of the trail’s take you to the waterfall which is 10km each way.

Fig Tree Walk

A beautiful walk through the rainforest to two giant fig tree’s one at the start of the trail and one about half way. The circuit is 1.1km return and is well worth checking out when in the area.

Mary Valley Rail Trail

A beautiful trail you can walk or cycle, it is 4.7km one way trail.  The trail surface is compacted gravel through the beautiful countryside. There is carparks at both ends of the trail.
